Install eCount Chrome & Firefox Extensions for Silent Printing and Digital Signature

This article shows how to install the eCount browser extensions and eDriver to enable silent PDF printing, background printing, and digital‑signature login.

📋 Overview

The eCount Chrome and Firefox extensions work with the eDriver component and optional Foxit Reader to print PDFs silently, bypass pop‑up windows, and support system‑key digital signatures.

🔧 Steps / How‑to

1. Open the Chrome extension link eCount Chrome Extension and click Add to Chrome.
2. Open the Firefox extension link eCount Firefox Extension and click Add to Firefox.
3. Download the eDriver package from eDriver and extract the eDriver.exe file.
4. Run eDriver.exe as Administrator and follow the installation prompts.
5. (Optional) Install Foxit Reader if you want PDF rendering. After installation, set Foxit Reader as the default PDF program: right‑click a PDF ► Open with ► Choose another app ► select Foxit Reader and check Always use this app.
6. Restart your browser. The extension will now print PDFs silently in the background without showing the print dialog.

💡 Tip: The silent‑print feature works only when Foxit Reader is set as the default PDF viewer.
