This article explains how to use the Menu Management utility to rename menus, change their position, assign shortcut keys, and enable or disable items in eCount ERP.

The Menu Management feature lets administrators customize the software menu structure to match business terminology, local language, or preferred navigation order without altering core functionality.
⚙️ Settings / configuration
- Header: Enter the new display name for the menu. The name appears everywhere the menu is shown.
- Parent: Choose the parent menu under which the item will appear, organising it within the desired section.
- Sr. No.: Define the sequence number under the selected parent. Smaller numbers appear first.
- Gesture: Assign a single character shortcut. The menu can then be opened with
ALT + SHIFT + [character]. - Is Enable: Toggle to enable or disable the menu. Disabled menus are hidden from the application.

⚠️ Common issues / warnings
If an enabled menu does not appear after login, check these points:
- User Rights: Verify the logged‑in user has permission for the page via Utility → User Management → User Rights.
- Feature Not Enabled: Ensure the related module (e.g., TDS Setup, E‑Invoice, Payroll) is activated in Company Setup.
- License Limitation: Some menus require a higher edition. Contact eCount Support to upgrade.
