π Book Issue
Master → Other → Book Issue
This feature is available only for Transport Company Type.
π Overview
The Book Issue feature is designed for transport companies that use pre-printed LR (Lorry Receipt) books.
Instead of allowing users to enter any LR number, the software controls LR creation based on the issued LR number range. Only the assigned serial numbers can be used during LR Booking.
π― Purpose of Book Issue
Book Issue helps companies assign a fixed LR number series to a Booking Center, Branch, or Consignor. Users can create LR entries only from the allotted serial range.
π Example
| Booking Center | Issued LR Series |
|---|---|
| Center A | 1 – 1000 |
| Center B | 1001 – 2000 |
| Center C | 2001 – 3000 |
Example:
- π’ Center A can create LR No. 1 to 1000.
- π’ Center B can create LR No. 1001 to 2000.
- π’ Center C can create LR No. 2001 to 3000.
- β If Center B tries to create LR No. 950, the software will not allow it because that number belongs to another issued book.

π Summary
The Book Issue feature helps transport companies manage printed LR Books by assigning a fixed LR number range to Booking Centers, Branches, or Consignors.
During LR Booking, the software validates the issued serial range and allows only those LR numbers to be used. This ensures proper numbering control, prevents duplicate LR creation, and provides complete tracking of all issued LR Books.
