π Memo Transfer
π Overview
Memo Transfer is used when your transport company is not delivering the goods directly to the consignee. Instead, the shipment is handed over to another transporter for onward delivery.
In this process, you transfer one or multiple L.R. (Lorry Receipt) consignments to another transport company. Once the Memo Transfer is completed, the responsibility for delivering those goods shifts to the selected transporter.
This feature is commonly used when your transport network does not cover the destination city, or when goods need to be forwarded through a partner transporter.
β What is Memo Transfer?
Memo Transfer is a forwarding process where:
- π Your company books the goods.
- π₯ Goods arrive at your branch or hub.
- π€ Instead of delivering them yourself, you transfer the shipment to another transporter.
- β The receiving transporter completes the final delivery.
This creates a complete record of which transporter received the goods and which L.R.s were transferred.
